Retirement Housing

Retirement housing consists of accommodation operating under the retirement village scheme, rental units, community housing and residential parks.

It is important that prospective retirement village residents, existing residents, residents’ committees, owners &/or administering authorities understand their rights and responsibilities under the Act/Regulations. Our information is aimed at helping you understand these rights and obligations.

This information is a guide only and is not intended to replace the Act/Regulations. It is recommended that you seek advice (family/friends/legal/financial) prior to making a decision about moving into a retirement village.
