Vacancies & Lists

Seniors Information Service provides current permanent and respite vacancies in Aged Care Facilities (ACFs) in rural and metropolitan South Australia. Information Officers collect this information from ACFs 4 days a week. Records are being updated daily, and updates occur more often if we are advised by an ACF of a new vacancy. Guidelines are provided for service providers and people who are searching the vacancy lists.

The listings are organised by postcodes. You can download any list that interests you (see below) and find out what Aged Care Facilities are in your area by looking at a map of suburbs in metropolitan Adelaide (creator: Department of Environment and Natural Resources).

There is help with the terms in the Comments section of the list by accessing the Glossary of Aged Care Terms.

You can find information about accreditation of Aged Care Facilities for residents and relatives at the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency Ltd  with a database of accreditation reports for all aged care facilities.

The Department of Health and Ageing is also authorised to issue notices of sanctions and non-compliance to approved providers (operators) of Australian Government subsidised aged care services.

High and low care vacancies are listed below. Seniors Information Service advises that in some instances the number of high care and low care beds in an Aged Care Facility (ACF) may change to meet the needs of the residents.
