Day Care ServicesDay care services provide activities and social support for older people and may include therapies, social integration, exercise and dementia support. Some services include low cost meals. Day Therapy CentresDay Therapy Centres are funded by the Australian Government to provide services including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and podiatry to frail aged people who are living in the community or who are residents of Commonwealth-funded aged care homes. Services may also include health education, exercise and fitness, and dementia support.Their aim is to assist people to maintain or recover a level of independence that will allow them to remain in the community or in low level residential care.
